Cancellation Protection – Camper Pitch
When you book a camper pitch with Arvika Småbåtshamnar, it is often done well in advance of arrival. At the same time, circumstances may change, for example due to weather conditions, travel plans, or other situations. The cancellation protection provides you as a guest with greater flexibility and peace of mind if you need to cancel your booking. The cancellation protection is an optional add-on that can be purchased in connection with the booking and only applies to the specific booking it is associated with.
How the cancellation protection works
When completing a booking, you have the option to add cancellation protection before the payment is finalized. The protection is activated immediately when the booking is completed and cannot be added afterwards. In the event of a cancellation, the refund is automatically calculated by the booking system based on the time at which the cancellation is registered. The cancellation must be completed via the personal booking page that you gain access to in connection with your booking confirmation. A cancellation is only considered completed once it has been registered in the system.
Refund terms with cancellation protection
The following refund levels apply in the event of cancellation:
- 100% refund for cancellations made at least 48 hours before arrival time (14:00) of the first day of the booked visit
- 80% refund for cancellations made at least 24 hours before arrival time (14:00) of the first day of the booked visit
- 60% refund for cancellations made at least 12 hours before arrival time (14:00) of the first day of the booked visit
- 40% refund for cancellations made at least 1 hour before arrival time (14:00) of the first day of the booked visit
- 20% refund for cancellations made less than 1 hour before arrival time (14:00) of the first day of the booked visit
- For cancellations made after the arrival time (14:00) of the first day of the booked visit, a value code (10%) for your next booking will be issued
The refund applies to the booking amount excluding the fees listed below.

How refunds are processed
All refunds are handled automatically through Stripe, which is the payment solution used in the booking system. The refund is made to the same payment method used for the purchase and is initiated immediately when the cancellation is completed in the system. The time until the amount becomes available in your account may vary depending on your bank or chosen payment method.
Terms and limitations
The cancellation protection must be purchased in connection with the booking and cannot be added afterwards. It only applies to the current booking and cannot be transferred to another booking or person. In order for a refund to be processed, the cancellation must be completed through the booking system. No manual handling or individual assessment of cancellations is performed; refunds are instead calculated and processed automatically according to the rules stated above. The booking fee, the cost of the cancellation protection, and any transaction or administration fees are non-refundable.
